Hi, I’m Eloïse

I grew up bilingual in the UK with a French mother, so French has always been my 'second half.' At 18 I moved to Paris to study Spanish, and that’s where I really fell in love with the city (and my French side).

Back in London, I started private tutoring French to adults, but I missed the international crowd I had in Paris: Tuesday evenings with a glass of wine, drifting between conversation en français. 

I couldn’t find that here, hence the birth of : la papote.

La papote means “the chat” in French, and that’s exactly what this is.

La Papote is a little slice of Paris in London: a relaxed space to practice French, chat and meet people.  I know how daunting it is to speak a new language, so La Papote is meant to be your weekly stepping stone to reaching fluency.

How it works: each week we explore a new topic together in a 1 hour class (£16). It’s relaxed, but structured: vocabulary and expressions are shared with you afterwards.
